Can Dietary Fish Intake Prevent Cancer? |
|
|
Abstract Abstract: Objective The incidence of cancer showed an increasing trend in China in recent years. The development of cancer is closely related with diet, while fish is the main food source for humans. The aim of this study was to achieve a comprehensive assessment of the relationship between fish consumption and cancers risk. Methods Studies about fish intake and cancer risk, especially meta analysis were recruited and intensively summarized. Results Higher fish intake is associated with lower risk of lung cancer and colorectal cancer, but the associations of fish with risk of other cancers is controversial and inconclusive. Conclusions More well-designed epidemiological studies are warranted to further verify the effects of fish consumption on risk of various cancers.
