Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of probiotics combined with prebiotics in reducing the incidence of radiation enteritis in
patients with cervical cancer. Method From November 2019 to November 2021 82 patients with cervical cancer who received radiotherapy for the first time from Three Gorges Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing University were randomly divided into control group and
observation group depending on the way of nutrition. The control group was treated with routine treatment and basic nursing and the
observation group was treated with probiotics and prebiotics on the basis of the control group. There was no difference in age pathological type and cervical cancer stage between the two groups all P > 0. 05 . Before and 7 days after radiotherapy compare the inflammatory factors interleukin-1 IL-1 interleukin-6 IL-6 tumor necrosis factor-α TNF-α number of bowel sounds immunoglobulin level immunoglobulin G IgG immunoglobulin A IgA immunoglobulin M IgM the incidence of radiation enteritis and the
incidence of severe radiation enteritis were compared between the two groups one week after radiotherapy. Result Before radiotherapy
there was no significant difference in the levels of inflammatory factors immunoglobulin and the number of bowel sounds between the
two groups all P > 0. 05 7 days after radiotherapy the levels of inflammatory factors IL-1 IL-6 TNF-α in the observation
group and the number of bowel sounds in the observation group were lower than those in the control group and the levels of IgG IgA
and IgM in the observation group were higher than those in the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically
significant all P < 0. 05 . 7 days after radiotherapy the incidence of radiation enteritis and severe radiation enteritis in the observation group were lower than those in the control group P < 0. 05 . Conclusion Probiotics combined with prebiotics can reduce the incidence of radiation enteritis in patients with cervical cancer.
