Abstract:As a malignant tumor that has ranked top in incidence and mortality in China in recent years lung cancer requires more
treatment options prolonged survival and improved prognosis for patients. Despite certain progresses achieved in treating lung cancer
there are still many challenges to be tackled. Therefore it is very important to search for more treatment methods prolong survival time
and improve prognosis for lung cancer patients. Immunonutrition plays a positive role in regulating the immune function and nutritional
status of cancer patients and can also assist in enhancing the efficacy of anti-tumor treatment. However compared to gastrointestinal
tumors there are few clinical studies related to immune nutrition in lung cancer. This article will systematically review the current status
and effectiveness of clinical application of immunonutrition in non-small cell lung cancer patients. It will analyze the controversies in
the current clinical application of immunonutrition and look forward to the future research directions of immunonutrition in lung
cancer.
